Eritrea a country with technological advancement

The Country That Banned ATM Machines And Has Never Borrowed Or Collected Foreign Aid Or Loan.

Not everybody knows that Eritea, an Eastern African country with it’s capital at Asmara, is the only self sufficient country in the world, that has no ATM, No private radio station nor TV station and has never borrowed or received any foreign aid in their history.

Eritrea is an East African country, which is located on the Red Sea coast, it shares borders with SudanDjibouti and Ethiopia, and it’s known for its Italian colonial buildings. They are very repressive and they are denied both religion and political freedom, it is a one-party-state rule country, whose leader, President Isaias Afwerki has been in power since 1993 (the year the country gained independence from Ethiopia). You will need to apply at the local government, before you can be issued a sim card, you can only withdraw money over the counter, as country does not allow ATM machines and you are not allowed to withdraw more than $330 a month, there is no private radio station in the country, “Eri-TV” is the only television station in the country, as private TV stations are also not allowed.

Eritrea has a ‘self-reliant’ policy, basically they live within their means and they are very contented, in 2006, they rejected over $200 million in foreign aid, and in 2007, they also rejected a developmental loan of $100 million, which was offered to them by the World Bank, strangely, they are the only country in the world that forbids foreign aid. The country has been nicknamed the ‘North Korea’ of Africa.
